Be Seduced at Contact

If you are in search of somewhere romantic with a theatrical connection, then the Contact Theatre could be just the ticket this month, with a selection of performances and Valentine’s inspired treats.

Raw Jam: Seductive Shakespeare (Friday 13th February 1pm, free) promises to be an afternoon of unadulterated passion to kick-start your Valentine’s weekend. Following a week of workshops, join us to explore gender-duelling characters and the various ways they express love. Taking a contemporary look at the classics, theypromise you innocence, ambition, jealousy, lust and raw emotion as we reveal the real people behind the prose.

As part of LGBT History Month, and following great success with his Magazine residency at Duckie, the fabulous David Hoyle invites you to join him and his guests for an alternative Valentine’s extravaganza of unconditional, unconventional love in Love For All on Saturday 14th February at 9pm (£8/5).

Finally, Song of Songs by Sonia Hughes on Saturday 14th February at 2pm and 8pm (runs 11th – 21st February £10/6), delicately explores the subject of love through the lives of the women on stage.

Throughout Valentine’s week, Contact Lounge will be serving a pre-theatre Valentine’s menu before the shows, including a sharing platter of cold meats, buschetta, olives, marinated vegetables and dips (plus a vegetarian alternative).

Tickets for all performances can be booked by calling 0161 274 0600 or going online to www.contact-theatre.org
