The Octagon‘s first show of the New Year is Nitro’s Up Against The Wall. We have two tickets up for grabs!

Following in the vein of previous success of Nitro’s Salsa drama, The Wedding Dance comes this big brash, comedy musical. This looks set to be another winner at the Octagon this January.

THE PLAY:
Henry is the leader of The Emperors of Funk, a band full of afros, flares and medallions, performing the greatest soul and funk songs of the 70s: from Shaft to Superfly; Sex Machine to Carwash; Across 110th Street and straight on to Boogie Wonderland.

Henry has been preaching the gospel of soul and funk to the dwindling masses for nearly thirty years. The clubs get smaller, the money too…. glamorous it ain’t.Then along comes Gloria; a beautiful and talented backing singer, giving the band a supercharged new lease of life and the chance of a lifetime; to perform at the legendary Funkfest! Will the band triumph or see their dreams come crashing down around their ears?

We have a pair of tickets for WOS Manchester visitors , courtesy of The Octagon Theatre.

We have one pair of tickets valid for Monday, 2nd February, 7.30pm at the Octagon.
