Award-winning comedy duo LipService – Maggie Fox and Sue Ryding – in association with The Lowry, Salford Quays, lampoon the cult of celebrity in their new show Tony & Twizzle, The Glory Years.
Our showbiz stars Tony & Twizzle take time out to talk to us, giving us their 5 glorious reasons to see their see them live at the Lowry from Mon 8 Sept until Sat 13 Sept!
1. Well, you’ll be in the company of the winners of Celebrity Wheelie Bins – you can’t get more thrilling than that!
2. It’s a fabulous evening of anecdotes and clips from our brilliant careers, such as the 60s gritty Northern film Whistle Down Your Blouse, and the teatime 80s drama series Some Vets Do ‘Ave ‘Em. We sing our hit love song from the 70s and of course play Celebrity Wheelie Bins! We can’t wait!
3. The show brings you the thrills and spills, the ups and downs of life as a celebrity. But we want you all to know that deep down, underneath all this gorgeous showbiz exterior, we’re actually just like you … well, perhaps some of you nicely dressed people.
4. It’s a “warts and all” show, though it’s Tony who has the warts, not Twizzle! And at last you get the chance to ask us those questions you’ve waited years to ask. Such as beauty tips from Twizzle and how do we cope being quite so famous?
