If you like a good spoof and are lamenting the loss of French & Saunders who are soon to stop performing live shows, then Northern double act, Lipservice will tickle your funny bone. We have a pair of tickets to see Maggie Fox and Sue Ryding in their new show, Tony & Twizzle at the Lowry in Sept!
THE SHOW:
Award-winning comedy duo Lipservice Theatre perform the world première of their new show at The Lowry, inviting audiences to spend an evening in the company of Tony & Twizzle who provide a ‘warts and all’ look back at their fabulous showbiz careers. Dubbed the northern French ‘n’ Saunders and described by The Independent as Britain’s favourite literary lunatics, Lipservice will deliver a hilarious look at the cult of celebrity.
Anthony Chalmers and Isobel ‘Twizzle’ Trilling – stars of Celebrity Wheelie Bins and What’s Down your Passage? - spill the beans on their fascinating lives. Tony talks candidly about their remarkable comeback after winning Celebrity Wheelie Bins, how Twiz drove him to drink, his time in rehab and the road to spiritual enlightenment.
Twiz was famously sacked by Sir Loin Andrew Webber after her voice cracked during the Royal Variety performance, made and then lost a fortune when the bottom fell out of her underwear business and famously invented facial gymnastics.
