Stags and Hens remixed by Willy Russell

One of Liverpool’s best-loved playwrights, Willy Russell, is to stage a remixed version of his acclaimed play Stags and Hens.

Russell, whose works include some of the UK’s biggest theatrical hits such as Blood Brothers and Educating Rita, is recreating the play at the Royal Court Theatre in February 2008.

Renamed Stags and Hens – The Remix, the classic comedy follows the story of the betrothed Linda and Dave as they head out on the town with their friends to celebrate their stag and hen nights.

Set to a soundtrack of disco classics, the drama unfolds as ex boyfriends appear, superstition rears its head, the drink flows and territory is marked. Read more
