Ghost's Manchester launch is magical
Date: 22 November 2010

They say you shiver when a ghost walks through you. If the aptly titled preview of Ghost the Musical is anything to go by, then this production is going to leave you feeling as if twenty have whipped through your body. Spine-tingling and magical, this production looks set to be the next big thing in the musical theatre world.

After watching a series of interviews between producer Colin Ingram and diverse members of the team, ranging from cast, to musicians, to the creator of the iconic script himself, Bruce Joel Rubin, it is wonderful to see the heart and soul that is being put in to making this project a success.

With a star studded cast, including Corrie’s Richard Fleeshman and Broadway actress Caissie Levy, musicians, including Glen Ballard (who wrote Michael Jackson's Man In the Mirror), exciting illusions and a dedicated creative team, it doesn’t seem that that their efforts will be going to waste.

What makes it even more special is the fact that it is premiering in Manchester, before hitting the West End. Now, this isn’t down to coincidence- the team has specifically chosen the city due to its friendliness and openness to new ideas.

The most obvious difference between the original script and this adaptation is the music. Unchained Melody remains but we also say hello to a brand new and eclectic collection, which will, through the phenomenal voices of the cast, have you crying, wanting to dance and ultimately craving more.

Upon its opening on the 28th March at Manchester Opera House, this is going to be the golden ticket for any theatre fan. Book your tickets now, or let it haunt you forever...
