Yesterday evening, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh visited Cats at the Blackpool Opera House and met with the cast, led by Jane McDonald as Grizabella, on stage after the performance.

Cats received its world premiere in 1981 and is is one of the longest-running shows in the West End and Broadway. The production has since won an Olivier Award, an Evening Standard Award and seven Tony Awards.

Cats continues at the Blackpool Opera House until 5 September 2015. The production will then return to London in October for an eight week run with Beverely Knight as Grizabella.
