Blackpool's Grand Theatre are staging Peter Pan as their pantomime for Christmas. Produced by Martin Dodd for UK Productions, it features the usual soap, TV and Radio stars.

In Edwardian London, Wendy Darling tells bedtime stories to her brothers Michael and John of swashbuckling swordplay with the formidable pirate leader Captain Hook and the heroics of the playful Peter Pan. But the children become the heroes of an even greater story when Peter Pan flies into their nursery one night and leads them over moonlit rooftops to the lush jungles of the mysterious kingdom of Neverland.

This new version stars Tom Lister (Emmerdale's Carl King), BBC Radio Lancashire's Steve Royle, Radio Wave Breakfast host Hayley Kay, and BBC The Voice contestant Jordan Lee Davies. The cast are joined by comedy acrobats The Nitwits and the very talented boys and girls from Barbara Jacksons schools of Dance.

Wendy and her brothers join Peter and his friends the Lost Boys in an exhilarating life, free of grown-up rules, while also facing the inevitable showdown with Hook and his pirates.

Peter Pan is at the Blackpool Grand from 6 December – 5 January.
