24/7’s Remember Me at Contact, 23 Nov

Following a successful debut at Manchester’s 24/7 Theatre Festival, locally based theatre company Hooligans present a revised and reinvigorated version of their show, Remember Me.

The play takes you back to the heady days of the Hacienda, thrills, pills and ciggie breaks and evokes a time when responsibilities were shunned and nothing mattered until the morning came. Sophie and Darren are living through moments of Madchester.

Moving forward to the present day sixteen-year old Jessica is piercing together her parents’ past and discovering a tale of love, loss, memory and music.

Offering a funny, fast and beautiful look at the boundary between night life and real life Remember Me is powered by a pumping Manchester soundscape.

Remember Me is written by Jason Crouch and directed by Sarah Meadows and runs from 23 – 26 November at the Contact Theatre in Manchester.

On Friday 26th November Remember Me will be followed by a club night at Contact, hosted by DJ Phil Beckett (Hacienda, Home, South) and featuring Manchester DJs. The Club night is free to show ticket holders.
