Video: Ghost Stories set for Liverpool 2010

A new production is opening in Liverpool next year with an aim of terrifying its audiences senseless before it transfers to London.

Ghost Stories has been written and is being directed by Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman.

Dyson is most known for his work on BBC’s The League of Gentlemen, while Nyman is the co-creator and director of the stage and television shows of illusionist Derren Brown, as well as having starred in E4’s zombie drama Dead Set and the 2006 Brit comedy horror Severance.

Ghost Stories opens at the Liverpool Playhouse on Thursday 4 February and runs until Saturday 20 February 2010.

The show is a Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse and Lyric Hammersmith co-production.

The production, set to thrill as much as it’ll chill, comes with a parental advisory as it contains moments of extreme shock and tension. The show is unsuitable for anyone under the age of 15 years old. Other warnings are also made.
