Liverpool’s Mark Moraghan is set to star in The Royal Court’s latest production – Nicky Alt‘s football play – You’ll Never Walk Alone. Mark, currently starring in the West End in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is best known for playing Owen Davis in popular BBC drama Holby City. He can be seen playing butch mechanic Bob in the hit stage show Priscilla at the Palace Theatre until 3 September.

Mark’s long television career includes roles in shows including Dream Team, Brookside, Doctors, Heartbeat, The Bill, Where the Heart Is, Casualty, Peak Practice, London’s Burning, Boon and Emmerdale.

You’ll Never Walk Alone is a celebration of Liverpool FC. Since 1892 the club has won 18 league titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, 7 League Cups and 3 UEFA Cups. But that doesn’t tell half of the story. Writer Nicky Allt (One Night In Istanbul, The Boys From The Mersey) returns to the Court to tell the story of the World’s most famous Football Club in a brand new play. The story runs from the founding fathers through the dark days of the second division to glory at Wembley, Rome and Istanbul.

The show tells stories of the glories on the fields of Anfield Road from Elisha Scott, Albert Stubbins and Billy Liddell to Kenny Dalglish, John Barnes and Steven Gerrard. With complete access to the LFC archive Nicky Allt has brought together every major incident in the club’s 119 year history.

You’ll Never Walk Alone runs at the Royal Court, Liverpool from 30 September – 29 October.
