Ripple Effect invites Liverpool audiences to celebrate Olympic Games, 31 July

A new play commissioned to celebrate the 2012 Olympic Games – The Ripple Effect is coming to Liverpool later this month.

Forming part of the London 2012 Festival, the culmination of the Cultural Olympiad, playwright Ursula Rani Sarma and young people from across the region aim to deliver a vibrant piece of new writing inspired by the Olympic theme of truce.

Ursula’s ideas, gathered from workshops with local people, have produced an exciting, innovative piece of theatre and what you will see and hear is the voice of Merseyside. Performed on the iconic stage of the Empire, this compelling piece gives us an insight into our culture and how young people see the world in 2012.

The Ripple Effect is at the Liverpool Empire on 31 July at 7.00pm.
