The play comes to the Manchester Opera House at the end of August and we asked Christopher for five reasons why you should go along.

1. Comedy value
To have a jolly good laugh.

2. The Cast
To see a company of superb comic actors at the top of their game.

3. Language
To relish the language of one of the great stylists of the English language.

4. Escapism
To escape into a fantasy world of blue skies, warm sunlight and happy endings.

5. Revival
To get to know a forgotten British classic.
