Beyond The Barricade Sets Date at Opera House

Beyond the Barricade, the popular concert that showcases songs from some of the world’s best-loved musicals – including Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera and Miss Saigon – is returning to the Opera House, Manchester later this month.

Performing West End and Broadway showstoppers,  this cast of past former Les Misérables principle performers present a two hour show that is set to delight musical theatre fans. They include Andy Reiss, David Fawcett, Katie Leeming and Sarah Ryan, together with their own ensemble of talented musicians,

Beyond the Barricade features numbers  from The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies, The Jersey Boys, The Lion King, Blood Brothers, Miss Saigon and many others, ending  with a spectacular finale from, of course, Les Mis.

Andy and David devised the show after appearing in the Manchester and London casts of Les Mis. David played the lead role of Jean Valjean in both of these productions and Andy played most of the male characters, including Enjolras and Valjean, as well as being the show’s resident director. Andy returned again to Manchester as director for the production during its residency at Manchester’s Opera House.

Katie joined Beyond the Barricade after playing the lead role of Eponine in the West End. Katie most recently featured in the Royal Variety Performance and the Classical Brits Awards as part of the Les Mis company. Sarah played Christine during the run of The Phantom of the Opera at the Opera House in Manchester, and was also Cosette in Les Mis, both at the Palace Theatre, Manchester and the Palace Theatre, London. All four performers featured in last October’s prestigious  25th Anniversary concert of Les Mis, at the O2 Arena.

Beyond The Barricade is at the Manchester Opera House on 30th July.
