Faulty Towers dines out again at Lowry, 6 Sept

Interactive Theatre Australia returns to Salford in September via a nationwide tour of its Faulty Towers tribute show – a direct result of its massive success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is described as a warm, funny, and affectionate tribute to Fawlty Towers. It’s set in the restaurant of the Fawlty Towers hotel and features the characters of Sybil, Basil and Manuel in a ‘13th episode’ of the TV show. The audience are the diners, served by the ‘Faulty Towers…’ cast; the result is orchestrated mayhem.

Interactive Theatre Australia artistic director and co-founder Alison Pollard-Mansergh – aka Sybil – led the show’s international debut in Edinburgh. It drew audiences of all ages, attracted critical and public acclaim, and won five-star reviews in national press and on radio and TV, including two appearances on The Culture Show.

The performance is fully interactive and recreates the spirit of the TV show, although it does not use scripts written by John Cleese and Connie Booth and has no connection to the BBC.

Faulty Towers Dining Experience runs from 6 – 19 September at the Lowry.
