Man In Mirror Features Local Talent at Lowry

The music of Michael Jackson from his childhood to his multi-million-selling performing peak features in Man In The Mirror, which makes its northwest debut at The Lowry from Tuesday 14th – Saturday 18th June 2011.

World-class performers from both sides of the Atlantic join forces for this stage spectacular celebrating the life, work and music of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.  Man in the Mirror brings Michael Jackson’s greatest hits to the stage with jaw-dropping scenes, thrilling multi-media displays, spectacular sets, breathtaking vocalists and award winning choreography. Following the success of Thriller Live! – MJ fans have proved that there is an appetite to see tributes to The King of Pop.

Man in the Mirror includes two dancers from Greater Manchester. Born and raised in Bury, Christopher Jeffers started acting and dancing at the age of 8, appearing in local theatre productions and television shows such as Coronation Street, Grange Hill and Shameless. His TV credits include Dancer for Take That at the Brit awards 2011 and dancer for DJ Smash music video. Originally from Manchester, Joshua Kinsella trained at Phil Winstons Theatreworks in Blackpool and is excited to come back to his home town with Man In The Mirror. Upon graduating, he moved to London to further his career in commercial dance with recent credits including Dance Nation Live/UK Tour, Platnum/Signals Music Video, Pineapple & Louie Spense Showbusiness On SKY1.

This dynamic production tracks the hits of the music legend starting off with the Jackson Five and moving through to the pop icon’s biggest hits like “Black or White”, “Earth Song” and “Smooth Criminal.”

With every single number one, this musical anthology includes “Bad”, “Thriller”, “Beat It”, “Wanna Be Startin’ Something’”, “Billie Jean”, “Man in the Mirror”, “The Way You Make Me Feel”, “I’ll Be There” and many more. This is the ultimate celebration of the pop music icon who will never be forgotten.

Man In The Mirror is produced by David King for Spirit Productions who is behind the world-renowned Spirit of the Dance show as well as the popular Rock around the Clock, Dancing Queen and Debbie Reynolds –Alive and Fabulous (which appeared at the Apollo, Shaftesbury Theatre in 2010).

The show’s creative team worked alongside musicians and dancers who were involved with This is it – the tour Michael Jackson never performed.
