Founded in 2001 by artistic director Jonathan Young, Shams create moving and imaginative performances for audiences, ranging from visually stunning theatre to site-specific, experimental, promenade and immersive experiences. Previous Shams work includes Total Theatre Award nominated (2006) The Garden and The Multi Storey (2008), a thriller set in a shopping mall car park.
The show embarks on a national tour following a successful run at Edinburgh in 2010 supported by Escalator East to Edinburgh, as well as performances as the Colchester Arts Centre, South Hill Park, Greenham Arts and Pulse Festival 2010 (New Wolsey, Ipswich).
Reykjavik is produced by Sarah Sansom from Time Won’t Wait & supported by Arts Council England and The Wellcome Trust and it's at Contact in Manchester from 7 - 11 June.
