SPRING AWAKENING

Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater’s hit award winning musical (9 Tony Awards, 4 Olivier Awards)  Spring Awakening gets a fresh new production thanks to new Manchester based theatre company Assembled Junk.

Spring Awakening is a rock musical based on German writer Frank Wedekind’s novel about the sexual awakening of a repressed and misguided group of German students as they navigate teenage self-discovery and coming of age anxiety in a powerful celebration of youth and rebellion.

Headlining the cast as young rebel Moritz is Matthew Waters. Matthew created the role of Young Peter Allen in the world premiere of The Boy From OZ alongside Hugh Jackman, he subsequently went on to star in hit TV show Round The Twist.
