When Harry Met Sally set to make magic in Manchester

Following a West End run and a UK tour featuring Gaby Roslin, the stage adaptation of When Harry Met Sally returns to Manchester next month, as part of a new UK tour.

The cast includes former Brookside star Sarah Jayne Dunn as Sally Albright, fresh from her success in the UK tour of the hit comedy Boeing Boeing. Former Coronation Street actor Rupert Hill (Jamie Baldwin) joins her as Harry. Both actos are currently enjoying huge success on stage, following their roles in two of the UK’s top serial dramas.

When Harry Met Sally spans a dozen years – the hilarious tale of two New Yorkers and the friendship that develops between them as they date (other people rather than each other!) and share the trials and tribulations of relationships. Warm and wonderfully witty with all the wise-cracking sassiness you’d expect, this irresistible comedy has been faithfully adapted from the Academy Award-winning film.

The cast also includes Annabelle Brown (Helen), Kosha Engler (Marie), Callum McArdle (Joe/Ira) and Luke Rutherford (Jack). When Harry met Sally is adapted by March Kahan from the film script by Nora Ephron. Directed by Michael Gyngell (The Play What I Wrote), designed by Tim McQuillen-Wright (Spring Awakening) with lighting by Ben Cracknall.

When Harry Met Sally is at the Opera House in Manchester from 10 – 15 May 2010.
