ABOUT THE PLAY:

WINTERLONG

This electrifying and heartbreaking new play is the debut by local actor turned writer Andrew Sheridan – a joint winner in the 2008 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting. WINTERLONG tells the story of Oscar. Following him from birth to teenager, the play chronicles important and poignant moments within his life that shape and impact the man he’ll grow up to be. 

Oscar is a loner. Abandoned by his parents as a baby, he grows up with his grandparents whose love is also not forthcoming. In a society where everything appears broken and damaged, the play examines whether a person who has never had the start or break they’re entitled too can ever reach out and feel the love they so desperately crave.

Winning Venue
Royal Exchange Theatre (Studio)  – Mon 7 – Fri 11 Feb evening performances (you choose, subject to availability).

HOW TO ENTER:
To WIN one of five pairs of tickets for Winterlong at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre at any evening performance between Mon 7 – Fri 11 February at 7.30pm (subject to availability), just answer this simple question:

and send your answer, name and preferred dates in an email to glenn@whatsonstage.com making the subject heading  Winterlong comp by the closing date on Fri, 28th January at 12pm..

household/email account please, as multiple entries/spammers will be
deleted.
Also, please ensure that you are free to attend between the dates specifified, before entering, as we cannot offer alternative dates or times,
should your plans change. Travel is not provided and please note
seating could be anywhere in the auditorium and we are not provided
with these details in advance. Note the closing date as entries received after this time will not be drawn. Winners will be emailed.
