Maine Road Extends Run at Lowry

Monkeywood Theatre’s Maine Road (already a hit at 24:7 last Summer) returns to the region in March and the run has been extended due to popular demand. Maine Road is a Manchester story about football, family, bricks and mortar.

Leo loves football; loves
City. Saturdays mean car-minding and listening to the match from the
backyard. That is, until his world is bulldozed around him…

The run from 18 – 20 March still remains but an extra night has been added at the Lowry. The new date will become the opening night, at a special preview performance at the Quays Theatre, Lowry on Friday 12 March. A matinee on the Saturday has also been added.

This is Monkeywood’s second appearance at the Lowry, following the 5-star success of A Song for the Lovers. Maine Road stars Marie Critchley, writer of the piece, Sarah McDonald Hughes and Francesca Waite.
