Opening the nationwide tour in Birmingham, Strictly Come Dancing – The Live Tour is full of all the glitter, glamour and sparkle you’ve come to expect from the ever popular BBC show. Covering the NIA in glitter balls, sequins and, of course, an enormous dancefloor, the show is evidently back bigger than ever.

New host Lisa Riley adds an extra layer of sparkle to the show with her delightful and cheery presence she seems to be enjoying the show as much as the audience. As a previous contestant she participates in some dancing whilst interacting with the contestants, professionals and judges with great execution. Len Goodman, Bruno Tolioni and Craig Revel Horwod (who also directs the show) are all as quick witted and charming as they appear on the television series.

Allowing the audience to vote for their favourites, this series runner-up Natalie Gumede was this afternoon’s winner with newsreader Susanna Reid in second place. Allowing the audience to participate in the outcome of the show is an added bonus and keeps the show different each performance (whilst making the BBC some money).

Strictly Come Dancing – The Live Tour continues to tour the country until February 9.
