Casting News: two sets of Calendar Girls hit the road

Tim Firth’s adaptation of the true story about several middle aged members of the WI, and their venture in bearing all for a good cause, has proven to be the fastest selling tour ever and enjoyed an equally successful West End run.

The touring production will see two sets of ‘girls’ playing multiple venues across the region as part of the extensive national tour.

Through to the 29th April the cast will be lead by Lynda Bellingham, who also starred in the West End production, joined by ‘Hollyoak’s’ Gemma Atkinson, and ‘Eastender’s’ star Letitia Dean. Other members of the cast include Judith Barker, Jan Harvey and Hannah Waterman.

On the 4th May, and continuing through to 24th July, the baton is passed to a new cast which includes buxom ‘Ground Force’ leading lady Charlie Dimmock. Hannah Waterman and Letitia Dean remain with the production whilst joined by other soap stars such as Dean Gaffney and Anne Charleston.

The tour has proven to be extremely popular with theatre-goers, selling out in many cities across the country. Visits to the central region include Birmingham, Cheltenham, and Nottingham amongst others. For more information on tour stops and ticket availability visit: www.seecalendargirls.com.
