WOS Poll: Who'll Succeed Grandage at Donmar?Date: 5 October 2010 Our Big Debate polls are back! Michael Grandage is stepping down as artistic director of the Donmar Warehouse in late 2011 after nine years in charge of the theatre, which, since he took over from Sam Mendes in 2002, has further extended its national and international reputation far beyond its 250-seat Covent Garden home base. Who is best placed to follow in Grandage’s footsteps? The following directors have been suggested as potential candidates by theatregoers via Twitter and the Whatsonstage.com Discussion Forum. Please vote now for who you’d most like to take over! (Note: Only your first vote will be counted!) At the bottom of this page, feel free to add any further comments about Grandage’s tenure and what new directions, if any, you’d like to see the theatre take under his successor. Related Content

| | If David Babani moved to the Donmar he'd have to start paying his actors properly which he does not do at the moment. It's disgraceful how these people have been treated in relation to the critical and commercial success the theatre has garnered over the past few years. - J D | 11 Oct 10 |
