Aladdin (Poole)

Set in Peking, this festive favourite offers a tale of mystery, mayhem and most of all Magic. Prepare yourselves to boo and hiss and join in the fun. It’s going to be Geni-us!!!

With topical jokes and up-to the minute pop songs Ray Quinn lives up to his star billing as Aladdin in this colourful traditional Panto .

Cheeky Quinn, Dancing on Ice winner and X Factor runner-up, entertains us wonderfully with his scouse accent and infectious humour and has the audience raising the roof with delight!

The hilarous Widow Twankey – Don Maclean (of Radio 4 fame) brings enormous energy to the role of Dame and has the audience rolling with laughter.
Look out too for dozy PC Bert, the brilliant Neil Smye, whose simple wit is the perfect foil for the Dame’s outrageously, exuberant character.

Beautiful Alex Handy-Ferrie is a superb Princess Jasmine. She has a sweet clear voice and when she duets with Quinn the combination is delightful.

Enchanting us throughout are the Junior Chorus, small girls who tap dance, sing and bring extra (sometimes ghostly) magic to the performance.

…….And of course…. there’s the villain of the piece, in the guise of the dastardly Abanezer. Bafta Award winning Tim Flavin is brilliant as the wicked, scheming uncle who is hot on Aladdin’s tail to steal the magic lamp and its powers for himself… and to win the Princess!

The other stars of this dazzling night are the special effects. More than 20 scene are effected seamlessly and the truly Magic, Flying Carpet Ride is spectacular -leaving the audience gasping with delight.

Aladdin is everything you’d expect in a Panto and more.. Produced by Peter Frosdick this show is professional and polished and designed to set the senses alight!!!
