Full cast announced for Racing Demon at Theatre Royal Bath

The cast joining David Haig in Jonathan Church’s production has been announced

The full cast for the upcoming production of David Hare's Racing Demon has been announced.

The show, which stars the already announced David Haig will open at Theatre Royal Bath at the end of June.

Ian Gelder (The Revd Harry Henderson) stars alongside Paapa Essiedu (The Revd Tony Ferris), Andrew Fraser (Ewan Gilmour), Sam Alexander (The Revd Donald ‘Streaky’ Bacon), Michelle Bonnard (Stella Marr), Anthony Calf (The Rt Revd Charlie Allen, Bishop of Southwark), William Chubb (The Rt Revd Gilbert Heffeman Bishop of Kingston), Rebecca Night (Frances Parnell), Amanda Root (Heather Espy) and Ashley Russell (Tommy Adair).

The piece focuses on four clergymen working in inner-city London who all face their own personal crises. Haig plays Lionel Espy, one of the clerics whose faith is wavering.

Jonathan Church directs the piece, which marks the first production in Church's inaugural season as artistic director.

Racing Demon runs at Theatre Royal Bath from 28 June to 8 July, with previews from 21 June.
