First look at Laurence Fox and the cast of The Real Thing
Images have been released of Laurence Fox and the cast of Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing, which opened at Cambridge Arts Theatre this week before a UK tour.
Directed by Stephen Unwin, The Real Thing was first staged in the West End in 1982 and subsequently won the Tony Award for Best Play.
The piece follows Henry, one of the best playwrights of his generation, and his actress wife Charlotte, who is starring in one of his plays. Henry's affair with another actress Annie, whose husband is starring opposite Charlotte, leads to life imitating art and rocks both their marriages.
The cast also features Adam Jackson-Smith, Rebecca Johnson, Santino Smith, Flora Spencer-Longhurst, Venice Van Someren and Kit Young.
The Real Thing runs at the Cambridge Arts Theatre until 16 September before touring to Theatre Royal Bath, Rose Theatre Kingston, Malvern Festival Theatre, Edinburgh King’s Theatre, Brighton Theatre Royal, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.
