Berkoff’s Metamorphosis Comes to The Regent

Award winning Arena Theatre return to the Regent Centre, Christchurch, with Steven Berkoff’s production of the Franz Kafka classic short story, Metamorphosis – widely regarded as one of the most influential works of short fiction in the 20th Century.

It is the parable of Gregor Samsa, a humble but industrious man who, upon waking one morning, finds himself transformed into a gigantic beetle-like insect. His metamorphosis is both physical and psychological and though his experience is harrowing, there is also a comic element to the story, in which Gregor comes to represent the quintessential outsider and alien.

Metamorphosis is at the Regent’s Studio 19 and 20 November at 7.45pm.
