Ahead of this week's worldwide screening of Merrily We Roll Along (24 October), CinemaLive and Digital Theatre have announced that the next production to be broadcast in their West End Theatre Series will be Private Lives.

The production will be broadcast to participating cinemas in the UK from 6 February 2014, and in the US on 11 December 2013.

Digital Theatre's Robert Delamere said: "To be working once again with CinemaLive in bringing a second hit West End show to cinemas around the world is thrilling. Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of Noël Coward’s classic comedy is outstanding, and Toby Stephens and Anna Chancellor’s superb performances have been rightly lauded.

"Following the huge success of the first production in our West End Theatre Series, Maria Friedman’s award-winning production of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s Merrily We Roll Along, we look forward to further expanding the series, and extending the reach of the very best of British theatre to a global audience."

Starring Anna Chancellor and Toby Stephens, Jonathan Kent's production originated at the Minerva Theatre in Chichester before transferring to the West End's Gielgud Theatre for a limited summer run.

The play centres on divorcees Elyot Chase (Stephens) and Amanda Prynne (Chancellor), who are reunited when they honeymoon with their new spouses in the same French hotel.
