Devil in the Detail first opened at Erzurum State Theatre, Turkey in 2009 and has been ‘re-imagined’ for the new UK tour with a cast of ex-Trestle and new mask actors.
Loosely based on John Morton's Victorian one-act farce, Box and Cox, the plot is set in a rundown part of town, where a devious landlady and her ambitious daughter make ends meet by renting out a small apartment. Not satisfied with a single rent, they manage to let out the flat to 2 men who never meet. To maintain the deception the conniving pair must keep the men apart and refurbish the room twice a day. But both the men have secrets hidden in the room, secrets that emerge with ghastly consequences.
