Smack The Pony Star Brings Edinburgh Fringe Preview to the Studio.

Award winning comedienne and actress, Doon Mackichan brings Prima Doona to Bristol Old Vic’s Studio as a preview for Edinburgh Fringe.

In this powerful one-woman show, MacKichan takes you on a hilariously brave and physical journey into the depths of three dark, painful and miraculous years and what it meant to survive.

Best known for her double Emmy award winning comedy show Smack The Pony which she co-wrote and performed with Fiona Allen and Sally Phillips, Doon’s extensive television comedy work includes Green Wing, Knowing Me, Knowing You … With Alan Partridge, A Very Social Secretary (playing Cherie Blair), Our Mutual Friend, and the BBC’s new comedy drama The Calais Rules.

Her theatre work includes A Respectable Wedding for the Young Vic, The Sacred Heart and Mother Courage for the National Theatre, A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Almeida Theatre and The Queen and I for the Royal Court.

Prima Doona will be at the Bristol Old Vic Studio 20 – 23 July, and at the Edinburgh Fringe from 4 – 30 August.
