Shakespeare’s Globe will broadcast three of its ‘Season of Plenty’ productions to cinemas around the world later this year

Shakespeare's Globe, in partnership with Arts Alliance Media, will bring three of its 2013 'Season of Plenty' productions to cinemas across the globe with its latest Globe on Screen season.

Starting with Jeremy Herrin's production of The Tempest starring Roger Allam and Colin Morgan from 28 May 2014, the season also includes Eve Best's Macbeth starring Joseph Milson and artistic director Dominic Dromgoole's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

All three performances have been captured in high definition and will be broadcast in their entirety in digital cinema quality, with full 5.1 surround sound. The Globe on Screen website, with cinema listings, trailer and links to book tickets, can be found here.

Dominic Dromgoole said of the latest Globe on Screen season: "Thousands of people saw these enchanting sell-out productions at the Globe last year, and we are delighted to be taking them to thousands more across the world with the latest cinema releases."
