Evita rolls into Bristol

Featuring some of the most famous and inspiring stage music ever written, including the classic songs ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’, ‘On This Night of a Thousand Stars’, ‘Oh What A Circus’, ‘You Must Love Me’, ‘Another Suitcase in Another Hall’ and ‘High Flying Adored’, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s extraordinary musical Evita embarks on a spectacular European tour, and comes to The Bristol Hippodrome on Monday 27 June for one week only.

Abigail Jaye will play the role of extraordinary Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, who, from young and ambitious beginnings, gained enormous wealth and power during her ultimate rise to sainthood. Abigail’s musical theatre credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Scrooge (West End and UK Tour).

Joining Abigail on stage in the role of Che is Mark Powell, whose west end credits include Evita, Whistle Down the Wind and Les Misérables and Earl Carpenter as Juan Peron, whose credits include Les Miserables (The Bristol Hippodrome/tour), We Will Rock You, Phantom of the Opera and Witches of Eastwick (all in the west end).

With more than 20 major awards to its credit, including the Oscar winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, and featuring some of the most iconic songs in musical theatre, this brand new production of the smash hit show promises to be the theatrical event of the year!
